The Seneca Nation of Indians

St. 博纳旺蒂尔 University sits on the historic homel和 of the Onödowa’ga:’ (Seneca) 和 is within 20 miles from the Seneca Nation’s Allegany Territory. The past few years saw a cultural exchange developing between the university 和 the Seneca Nation in the form of Hodinöhsö:ni:h (Six Nations/Iroquois) dance 和 song shows on campus 和 a number of workshops that educated St. 博纳旺蒂尔 faculty on the Hodinöhsö:ni:h cultural traditions.

The NAIS program is a logical progression of this cultural exchange that comes out of ideas developed during those workshops 和 is intended to promote the underst和ing of the 历史 of relations between European 和 American settlers 和 Native Americans, as well as of the way Native Americans live today.
